Project Background
In order to build environment-friendly and resource-saving rural roads, in September 2007, Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Hunan Provincial Department of Communications jointly carried out the application research of bio-enzyme soil solidification road construction technology, and actively explored and innovated the construction of new socialist rural roads. On January 21, 2009, the provincial science and technology department organized experts to identify the scientific research achievements. The appraisal committee believes that: the subject relies on the village road test road to systematically study the road performance and construction technology and quality control of bio-enzyme reinforced soil. It is recommended to further in-depth experimental research and accumulate data for popularization and application.
In order to carry out in-depth research on bio-enzyme soil solidification road construction technology and facilitate its popularization and application in the transformation of road network projects in the whole province, in 2010, the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Hunan Provincial Department of Transportation jointly launched the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Major Project "Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies for Bio-enzyme Soil Solidification Road Construction" (Project No.: 2010FJ1008).
This project is to carry out rural experimental road research in Xiangtan City, systematically explore and summarize the technology of using bio-enzyme soil curing agent for rural road construction, summarize and improve the bio-enzyme soil curing road construction technology, reduce the cost of rural road construction through the promotion and application of bio-enzyme soil curing road construction technology, improve the quality of the project, and provide strong technical support for rural road construction.
After the completion of the project, it will reduce the cost of rural road construction, greatly reduce the amount of lime, cement and sand and gravel materials, reduce mountain excavation, and make full use of local cheap materials, thereby saving resources and energy, and contributing to the protection of the ecological environment. Conducive to the realization of the concept of circular economy and the sustainable development of road transportation. Large-scale application in China, will produce huge economic benefits, has important economic and social significance.
Brief Introduction of Supporting Engineering
This project relies on the Guyang Village Road in Shaoshan Township, Shaoshan City, with a total length of 1.83 kilometers and a roadbed width of 5 meters. At present, tractors and small vehicles are the main vehicles in this section. Occasionally, villagers build houses. Vehicles with a total weight of about 20 tons pass through, and the traffic flow is small. The daily action times of standard axle load are 28 (times/day). In order to further promote the local economic development and the development of tourism resources, residents along the route have a strong desire to build hardened roads, upgrade roads, improve traffic conditions, and develop the economy of the village. At present, the widening and treatment of the subgrade of the road has been nearly completed, and the construction of culvert pipe and retaining wall is in progress. The vicinity is mostly mountainous, with wind fossils everywhere, and the materials required for the test road are widely sourced.
